I took a leave during the holiday and I didn't work for eleven days. However, I feel more tired now then before.
Although holidays are time to relax, we always get involved in many activities like travelling, shopping and sometimes we get stressed.

Hi, genilton! You're very right...I feel the same way. Sometimes we don't get to relax as much as we'd like during a holiday or a vacation. Your sentences are perfect, except for "a time to relax". Your English really amazes me! Abs.

Although I don't study every day, I like to study English.

I would like take a load off, however, I'll study English.

Great first sentence, Lorena! Remember that one "likes to do something" - "I would like to eat, I would like to sing, I would like to take a load off." Just so you understand the expression "to take a load off" completely, it usually implies sitting down and relaxing after doing some strenuous or difficult task. In this case, saying "I would like to relax..." would be the better option. But great try anyway! I love to see our users testing out their new knowledge. And we're here to help you out any way we can!

Denzel, in a sentence you have to choose, either you use "although" or you use "however". Can you try it again?

Although she´s bought loads of books she didn´t buy the book I requested.

I´m liking very much to study English, however I haven´t had much time.

Nice job, degga06. Just watch for the verb "to like". In English it's not very common to see it in the gerund form. Abs.

Although he 's studied a lot,he didn't do every test.

It's so difficult to dance tango, however she 's been trying.

He, Denzel. "Although he's studied a lot, he hasn't answered the whole test." The second sentence should have a period after tango, then "however" and a comma. Now, rewrite this last sentence with the changes, will you? Very good job! Abs.

Although I don't like to eat meat, ain't a vegan.

I don't like to eat meat. However, ain't a vegan.

Nice try, Fernando! I'm not sure if you using "ain't" as a joke or in a serious way. Either way, you need to know that you should NEVER use "ain't" in written form. This structure is a grammatically incorrect use of the verb "to be" and should be restricted to the spoken language. But if you are going to use it, remember that you need a subject: "Although..., I ain't a vegan."

I practise so much english, however I don't be able to speak english with my friends.
Although Seville is small city, sometimes I miss in its street.
Foto
Por: Josh em 24/02/2010 às 10:40h
Be careful here, Iamia. If you place "so much" before the noun (English - with capital "E" please), it means you study a large quantity of English. However, if you place "so much" after "English", it means you study English OFTEN. I think the latter is what you meant to say. The second part you need to make the verb "to be" in "to be able to" into the negative correctly. Your last sentence I'm not sure if I understand what you want to say...help me out!

Ok Josh, I'll try again :)
"I practise English so much, however I'm not able to speak English with my friends."
"Although Sevilla (mi city) is small, sometimes I don't know where I am."
I hope these sentences are more clear

Great examples using "load", Flaviab. Let's look at each sentence, ok? 1) the first part needs a verb! Although the weather was bad this weekend, I..." 2) The first part is great. However, I have no time to listento them." You always "listen TO something". 3) "get a load of someone or something" is almost always used in the imperative form like in the examples in the lesson: "get a load of her..." "get a load of that guy..." I'm not sure exactly what you wanted to say in your third sentence. 4) Perfect. Well done! Good job, Flaviab, nice effort!
