I like watching tv, too. That's how I learned to speak Portuguese - on some channels I would listen to the English actors and simultaneously read the subtitles.

Why we say "love is beautiful!" and not "the love is beautiful!"?

Why do we say it? Very good question, Nagly. I hope I can answer it. When we are talking about things 'in general', we do not use "the". If you are talking about a specific thing, then you must use "the" Ex: "War is horrible." (not 'The war...') "The Gulf War was terrible." (a specific war)
