FUTURE CONTINUOUS
Dialog: "
In fact the chances are far greater that Obama will be putting the Middle East on the back burner for a while."

We use the future continuous to talk about a pre-arranged action or event that will be in progress at a particular moment in the future.  We can also use it to talk about something we predict will be in progress at a certain time in the future.

  • Will you tell Jeff I'll be arriving late to the office tomorrow? (pre-arranged future action)
  • We'll be staying at a friend's house while in London. (pre-arranged future action)
  • I'm sure the kids will be sleeping by the time we get home. (prediction of future action)
  • Richard and Lisa love the mountains.  There's no doubt they'll be skiing during their entire vacation. (prediction of future action)

Sobre esta aula

"After a quick meet-and-greet with King Abdullah, Obama was off to Israel, where he made a quick stop at the manger in Bethlehem where he was born". This quote from American talk show host John Stewart pretty much sums up what the world's expectations are for the Barack Obama Presidency. But how much of a Messiah can a president really be? That's exactly what Ashley and Josh discuss in today's lesson.
